Dental Clinic
Perugia, Italy | 2018
The project for this dental clinic started from a clear client brief focused on distinctive, high‑quality materials: wood, metal and glass.
Cladding and Materiality: The walls are characterized by horizontal boiserie in fine wood. This band not only adds warmth and a welcoming feeling but also serves as a unifying element.
Architectural Lighting: To emphasize the texture of the wood and create depth, a sophisticated grazing lighting system was implemented. LED light sources were strategically positioned to cast light from both above and below, ensuring a calm and professional atmosphere.
Wayfinding System: Area and office signage has been elegantly integrated into the wooden panels. The use of graphic and textual elements is enhanced by backlighting, transforming the signs into luminous focal points and ensuring clear readability.
Privacy and Light Management: The large glass surfaces, essential for the diffusion of natural light, have been treated with decorative or screening films. This solution allows transparency to be discreetly modulated, ensuring the necessary privacy in clinical and operational environments without compromising the overall brightness of the interiors.
