Perugia, Italy | 2023-2024
When we intervened in this apartment in the historic center of Perugia, we were faced with an interesting challenge: 300 square meters spread across a single level, with many small rooms and corridors that seemed to dominate the space. At first it might seem complicated, but the real advantage was the large windows overlooking the Umbrian hills—the view is truly breathtaking, and we wanted it to become the main protagonist.
We decided to work with the contrast between dark and light. The dark parquet flooring provides continuity and a sense of warmth, while the custom-made furnishings in light tones help each room breathe and enhance the natural light.
In the bathrooms, we chose travertine, which adds an elegant yet natural touch, perfectly aligned with the historic character of the apartment.
The final result is a harmonious space where every element is designed to highlight the light, the view, and the beauty of the interiors without altering the history of the building. Walking through the rooms, you immediately perceive the balance between tradition and modernity, between functionality and design.
