Spaces

Medical Studio

Firenze, Italy | 2023

The project aimed at the radical redevelopment and subdivision of a large space originally used as cellars, transforming it into a modern and functional Medical Center. The intervention was commissioned by AFAM (Azienda Farmacie Fiorentine) for the creation of eleven (11) state-of-the-art medical offices.

Concept and Architectural Solutions

The key focus of the design was the optimization of spaces to ensure maximum natural light. To achieve this objective, innovative design solutions were adopted:

Integrated Lighting Systems:
The entire network of technical systems (electrical, mechanical, and ventilation) was carefully concealed within modular suspended ceilings and perimeter plasterboard bulkheads.

Spatial Dynamism:
The creation of a refined interplay of heights and differentiated levels through the suspended ceilings not only solved the technical requirements but also introduced dynamism and a greater perception of spaciousness within the waiting areas and circulation corridors.

Color and Material Selection

The material and color palette was carefully chosen to evoke a sense of hygiene, professionalism, and hospitality:

Dominance of White:
Pure white was selected as the primary color for walls and ceilings, maximizing the diffusion of light and reflecting the cleanliness standards required in a healthcare facility.

Identity Color Accent:
A soft pastel green was introduced as an accent color to visually connect the medical offices and common areas, adding a touch of color that combines serenity with corporate identity.

Prestigious Furnishings and Finishes:
Furniture elements were crafted in Canaletto walnut, a choice that brings warmth and prestige.
Soft furnishings and complementary elements in neutral beige tones complete the environment, ensuring comfort and a sober, elegant aesthetic.
